The development and laboratory validation of the rapid molecular diagnostics behind the Alveo Sense Poultry platform is documented in an open access, peer-reviewed study (Microorganisms 2025, volume 13, article 1090). Across the validation panel the assays showed 100 percent specificity for avian influenza virus subtypes with no cross-reactivity against the non-AIV pathogens tested, limits of detection in the RT-PCR Ct 29 to 33 range, and high reproducibility across operators and laboratories. The authors note that field validation is ongoing.
