PDRC Evaluation

Alternate Terms:
Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center evaluation, PDRC study, PDRC duck study

An evaluation of the Alveo Sense Poultry Avian Influenza Test conducted by the Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center, using experimentally infected ducks as a clinical model. Initial testing of pooled cloacal swabs, the most complex sample type, showed greater than 99 percent accuracy in detecting Type A and H5 targets across all tests, including on Day 1 of infection and on Day 5, when the pooled viral load was at its lowest. This was a research use only collaboration and is not a regulatory validation.
