A test that detects the genetic material of a pathogen rather than an antibody response to it. The Alveo Sense Poultry Avian Influenza Test uses loop mediated isothermal amplification, known as LAMP, together with electrical impedance sensors to detect viral RNA in a single-use microfluidic cartridge. The cartridge carries six assays: broad detection of Avian Influenza Type A virus, and precise detection of the H5, H7, and H9 RNA subtypes.
